Prabhas' forthcoming film, Adipurush, is one of the most anticipated films of 2023. As the film is hardly two weeks away from release, the makers have kickstarted the final leg of promotions. Recently, the Adipurush team made an announcement regarding the release. Going by the statement, one seat in every theatre will be unsold during Adipurush screening. This unsold seat will be dedicated to Lord Hanuman to celebrate the beliefs of people.
Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, will release in theatres on June 16. The film will grace the screens in five languages, namely, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
Ahead of the film's release, the makers have announced that one seat in every theatre will be dedicated to Lord Hanuman. In every screening, the seat will be unsold.
Their statement read, "Lord Hanuman appears wherever the Ramayana is recited. It is our belief. Respecting this belief, every theatre screening Prabhas' Rama-starrer Adipurush will reserve one seat for Lord Hanuman without selling it. Hear the history of paying respects to the greatest devotee of Rama. We started this great work in an unknown way. We all must see the Adipurusha built with great grandeur and grandeur in the presence of Lord Hanuman."
Here's the statement:
Adipurush is a mythological film based on the Indian epic, Ramayana. The film is written and directed by Om Raut. While Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan play lead roles, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage will be seen in supporting roles.
Made on a humongous budget of Rs 500 crore, the film ran into several hurdles ever since its inception. From Saif Ali Khan's 'Ravana is humane' comment to backlash for poor VFX, Adipurush has seen it all. The film is now all set for a grand release in multiple languages across the globe.
